Flashing with RPi

The following are steps to flashing a Meshtastic device using a Raspberry Pi. This would be helpful at remote sites where you do have internet and want to update your firmware without retrieving your Meshtastic radio. You just need either very reliable Wifi or a hard wired network cable to the Raspberry Pi.
Step 1: Install VNC Connect or other VNC software on your Raspberry Pi to allow for remote access. Remote log in to the Raspberry Pi via VNC. Make sure you have a static IP address to be able to access the Raspberry Pi reliably.

Step 2: Connect the Meshtastic radio to the Raspberry Pi via USB.
Step 3: Open the Chromium Web Browser available on the Raspberry Pi.

Step 4: Go to flasher.meshtastic.org
Step 5: After you have selected your device and the appropriate firmware version, click on the "FLASH" button
Step 6: Click on the 1200bps Reset or use other appropriate "remote" ways to put your device into boot mode. Some of the RAK devices have CLI options, etc.
Step 7: After you have selected the options for flashing the firmware, click on the update button. Select the serial port that is appropriate for your Meshtastic radio. In my case, it was ttyACM2.

Step 8: Let the flashing software do its magic.
